Chocolate Covered Anything Day

December 16th, is Chocolate Covered Anything Day here in the United States. And wow am I excited!

I’m a huge fan of hot chocolate and just regular chocolate bars or chunks, most anything chocolate. Maybe you’re not a much of a chocolate fan or maybe you do have a favorite kind of chocolate. I’ve heard some people say that any chocolate is good 🙂 For myself, I love dark chocolate.

Now I’m not quite hard-core enough to go for the ultra-dark chocolate, the one that’s labeled as 90% or 92%. I’ve had 85% dark chocolate but it’s not as tasty to me as the dark chocolate that falls in the range of 70%-80%. I have even tried “whole cacao” chocolate bars. They’re labeled as 70% but are made using the entire cacao pod. The whole cacao bars are very yummy. I was pleasantly surprised.

But this is about Chocolate Covered Anything… For things covered in chocolate, I still prefer a darker chocolate, but regular milk chocolate is tolerable once in a while.

Some of the foods I’ve had covered in (dark) chocolate are: cherries, strawberries, pretzels, bananas, cookies, donuts, marshmallows, nuts, dried fruits, cake bites, and popcorn.

But I think pretty much any food covered in chocolate is something I’d love to eat. While I have my limits, I could happily pour chocolate on my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I suppose I might get tired of it at some point. (Probably only after fifty or a hundred years of doing it! lol)

So, for Chocolate Covered Anything Day this year, I think I’ll try to find a new way (to me) to put chocolate on something. Try a combo I haven’t before. What about you? What do you think you’ll put chocolate on for Chocolate Covered Anything Day?
